Following last year’s meeting at Edinburgh Napier University, HAS-Motion’s 2026 UK User Group Meeting moves to the East Midlands where we will be hosted at Nottingham Trent University! This meeting brings together biomechanics researchers, engineers, and clinical innovators who share a desire to connect and explore the science of human motion.
Biomechanics in the Wild
This year’s program has a focus on the work being done today to bring biomechanics outside the lab. Topics covered include:
- The challenges, pitfalls, and opportunities of commercializing technologies related to motion capture
- How to share motion capture data with other labs
- Marker-based and markerless approaches to paediatric 3D gait analysis
- Translating biomechanics research into real-world practice using an adaptive systems perspective
