We are excited to present the first print in our HAS-Motion Conference Art Series, which unites the fields of biomechanics and modern art. This first print is the result of a special collaboration between HAS-Motion and well-known Kingston-based artist EronOne. We took the opportunity of this year’s Canadian Society of Biomechanics conference in Edmonton to introduce the series. And one lucky attendee walked away with an exclusive print.
Combining Art and Science
The Conference Art Series sits at the nexus between biomechanics and art and shows the artist’s viewpoint on the ideas that we analyse quantitatively on a daily basis. Our first piece captures this idea, presenting intricate biomechanical ideas through the lens of contemporary art.
EronOne is renowned throughout Kingston for his inventive and provocative designs. Here he has converted the complex science of biomechanics and the everyday experience of human movement into an eye-catching work of art. The result is a print that references both the elegance of human motion and scientific accuracy.
Our Next Unveiling: ISB 2025
We are already planning the next instalment in the HAS-Motion Conference Art Series and will unveil it at next year’s International Society of Biomechanics (ISB) conference in Stockholm, Sweden. This work will again fuse creative expression with scientific understanding by presenting a fresh viewpoint on the science of movement.
We welcome you to join us on this adventure as we explore the interplay between biomechanics and art. Celebrate the countless possibilities resulting from this special partnership and future artistic collaborations!
